This course discusses the background to the AGS data transfer format before going on to explore the fundamental concepts that underpin it.

Your course tutor for this course is Neil Chadwick of Digital Geotechnical.
Neil is a Geotechnical Engineer with a (long time) interest in data/digital. With extensive geotechnical experience, mostly at major consultancies with 22 years at Arup under his belt, Neil is now an 'independent' consultant and a digital/data specialist.
Neil is a Member of the AGS Data Management Working Group, lead author of AGSi (ground model/interpretative), and the lead author of AGS Piling (in draft).
Neil also regularly works with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) on global geotechnical data standardisation.
